Make
a Difference-
How to Raise Empathic Kids and Make a Difference in the Lives of
Others
Donate
Gently Used Clothing and Toys
Raising
children is one of life's greatest miracles. But it's not cheap.
Diapers, clothing, toys and books cost money. And there are many
families who struggle to make ends meet.
Many
community agencies help families by providing safe shelter and food,
identifying affordable childcare, job opportunities, medical care,
and parenting education classes. These agencies often gratefully
accept donations of gently used clothing and supplies for the families
they serve.
How
can you make a difference? Donate gently used clothing and toys.
Ask
your church or synagogue if they have congregants who can benefit
from these donations. Or, call local agencies such as homeless shelters
or domestic violence safe spaces, to see if they would welcome donations
of gently used clothing and supplies.
Then,
encourage your children to look in their closets for good quality
clothing and toys that they don't use anymore, and bring them to
community organizations who can distribute them to families in need.
Or, create a flyer seeking donations and distribute them to your
neighbors, co-workers and friends.
Make
a difference in the lives of others by donating gently used clothing
and teach your children the importance of charity and community
service.
