Children Feel Secure
There
are times in life when everyone needs security, warmth and comfort.
This is especially true for children who experience medical challenges
or trauma. After a woman named Karen Loucks read a magazine article
about a child with cancer whose security blanket helped her endure
difficult chemotherapy appointments, Project Linus was born.
Project
Linus is a non-profit organization staffed by volunteers that delivers
security blankets to children around the world. Although Project
Linus originally donated blankets to pediatric cancer patients,
recipients now include any child who is seriously ill or traumatized.
How
can you make a difference and bring warmth and security to children
in need?
Visit
www.projectlinus.org to
learn how to send a donation or make a new, washable blanket to
be given to seriously ill and traumatized children from birth to
18.
